Minister Monique Muller, youngest child to the late William and
Deaconess Juanita Muller, received her early education in the
Stratford School System in Stratford, CT. She graduated from
Southern Connecticut State University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s of
Science degree in Sociology.
Minister Muller utilized her education coupled with her passion for
the youth to work with youthful offenders in the Bridgeport and
neighboring communities. She continued in her educational studies
and earned a Master’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice as well
as a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Science from the University of
New Haven in 2007.
Minister Muller also spent six years working with a Connecticut
based non-profit organization to address discrimination in
Connecticut’s housing market. In addition to investigating
discrimination complaints, Minster Muller educated Connecticut’s
residents of their rights under the law.
As a member of the Friendship Baptist Church family, Minister Muller
has participated in numerous ministries. She served as a member of
the Voices of Praise and the Praise Team to offer ministry through
music. She also participated in monthly worship services at the West
River Healthcare Center in Milford, CT and in 2001 became the
founder and President of the Daughters of the Kingdom, Friendship’s
women’s ministry.
Minister Muller, originally baptized at the age of 7, re-devoted her
live to Christ and was baptized a second time in 2006 by the Founder
and Pastor of the Friendship Baptist of Stratford, the Rev. Johnny
Gamble. She explains that “at the age of 7 I was told about Jesus
Christ and now I know him for myself”.
On September 27, 2009, Minister Muller delivered her initial sermon
at the Friendship Baptist Church of Stratford and was licensed as an
Associate Minister. Minister Muller is currently enrolled in the
Master’s of Divinity program at the Candler School of Theology on
the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
Minister Muller’s motto is “There is a spiritual war going on and
I’ve been drafted. A solider till her death she believes that if we
“…love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength…” we will be
victorious over the enemy (Mark 12:30).
