Rev. Timoth Spain is an Associate Minister at Friendship Baptist Church in Stratford, CT under the divine guidance of Pastor and Founder Johnny Gamble. He was called into the ministry and preached his trial sermon on New Year’s Eve in 1992 at First Baptist Church in Stratford, CT. In 1995, he was licensed and ordained under the divine leadership of the late Rev. Dr. William O. Johnson. Rev. Spain is an active volunteer in the prison ministry at the Bridgeport Correctional Center where he preaches on the Fifth Sunday. Rev. Spain is a musician and is a member of the Friendship Baptist Church Men’s Chorus. He also assists with the children’s ministry. He is married, the father of two children and has five grandchildren.
Rev. Spain was educated in the Bridgeport Public School System and attended Housatonic Community College and St. Vincent’s College. He is also a graduate of the New England Bible Institute, which is affiliated with the Manhattan Bible Institute in New York. He completed studies in General Bible, Evangelism, Post Graduate in Theology and Teacher’s Training.
Rev. Spain says he has a B.A. degree – he is a “Born Again” Christian. He is on a mission for the Lord and believes that if you have to stand alone it is better to stand-alone for God.
